Coaching Services
Tailored to Your Season
The purpose of coaching and spiritual direction is to find the roots set deeply in your soul, discovering how strong you really are. Like the oak tree, we often don’t know until the winds blow. Our partnership will help you find your roots and begin to nurture them.

Life Coaching
Whatever it is that is driving you toward coaching, I am glad you have arrived here. Using tools I have collected in my own life’s journey, both personally and professionally, I want to sit in your passenger’s seat and help you navigate the road ahead.

Transitions take different forms throughout one’s life. Maybe you are experiencing a loss or separation (whether desired, expected, or none of the above), having a child or adding another one to your family, becoming an empty nester or just having a child moving out on their own (which is sometimes more challenging than the nest actually being empty). Maybe your body is changing without your consent. Perhaps your reality is not matching expectations in significant ways leaving you angry, confused, and wanting. These are just a few of the many topics we can unpack in our time together.
-
My approach is tailored to the season you’re in. We will meet together in person or over Zoom to determine what is the best approach for you, then flex to meet you where you are and where you want to go.
Using tools I have collected in my own life’s journey, both personally and professionally, I’m ready to help you navigate the road ahead.
Many of my own realities have not matched my expectations, creating some street cred to be your ‘shotgun’ rider. Some of my life’s markers include divorce, remarriage, step family relationships, miscarriage, depression, menopause, seasonal depression, thirty years in education fields, multiple cross-country relocations, ill children, military, and finding joy and gratitude along the way.
Beyond my personal journey, I integrate learnings, trainings, and certifications for trauma-informed and trained teaching, mentoring, coaching, and spiritual directing.
What I offer you is the comfort of knowing that I have been down a lot of roads, and will help you find your own. I have experienced my own pain and can sit with you in yours. Our time together will be for you; you will not need to care for me—this is your time.
“A humble knowledge
of thyself is a surer way to
God than a deep search
after meaning.”
Thomas A. Kempis
Spiritual
Direction
Spiritual direction differs from other types of soul care in that it focuses on your ability to connect to, hear from, and deepen the vital, intimate relationship between you and God.
-
Different seasons require different tools. Did you bring a bathing suit to a blizzard? Maybe you’ve reached a season where the old answers no longer fit. Are you seeking deeper meaning, clarity, and peace for the path ahead?
-
Spiritual direction can feel like a back road to get to the destination, but it is often the most beautiful, fulfilling, and memorable way to arrive. I love taking a dirt road, a small road, or turning right where I have always turned left just to see what is there, what I have been missing.
As a trained spiritual director, I will be your companion on the journey to a more satisfying relationship to God. I will listen with you, help you notice the movements of God in your life, and respond to the nudges felt.
Together we can explore a myriad of paths of discovery to fill your personal passport with joy and meaning.

Often the real questions come before the applications are submitted. Let me ask those questions and really listen for the answers with you, offering practical help and resources along the way. I believe that each person has value to add to the world–let’s discover that together.

The college application and admission process has changed since the current graduate’s parents applied, and the changes can be challenging to navigate.
Discover how to determine the roads available, how to investigate those (colleges, college applications, military service, trade school, etc.), and how to manage the stress along the way.

In the past fifteen years, I have walked with over a thousand seniors as an English teacher (and mom) navigating the unclear road maps that lead to happy, productive lives post high school graduation.
As a college and career coach for young adults and their parents, I offer practical help with college applications (common, coalition, and institutional), the college essay, recommendation letter requests, supplemental questions, college tours, etc.
I can help your young adult child unlock strengths and traits moving them toward a vocation and independent life as I have done with thousands of students and my own now-independent children. You will gain access to my spreadsheet and learn how to narrow the application field working smarter, not wasting time and money, while pursuing the best options.
I will walk with your child identifying a major, choosing and applying to universities/colleges and scholarships including the essay, selecting the one, obtaining housing, completing the FAFSA, and moving into the dorm. Then, I can help you survive and thrive as each child leaves home.

Through inner work, outside help, humor, and faith, a sense of inner freedom and healing has emerged from within me, and I’m ready to share the journey. A retired high school English teacher with more than thirty years of experience helping others—including her three beloved children—determine their strengths, challenges, and passions, I’ve focused the last decade primarily on young adults (and their parents) transitioning from high school into adulthood.
